Fort Worth Metro is a faith-based non-profit organization that has been in operation for 12 years. Our mission is to reach people in the inner-city and equip them to bring positive change in their communities. We go into high crime, low income areas in Fort Worth and work with 1,000 to 1,500 children and teenagers on a weekly basis, meeting social, physical, and spirtual needs through our program. Fort Worth Metro's primary means of reaching out is through the use of our sound truck - a converted moving truck that turns into a sound stage. Metro's weekly programs consist of games, prizes, giveaways, and weekly challenges to the kids. We share our beliefs in Christ while encouraging these kids to live right lives, making good choices and making a difference in their community. We provide clothing, groceries, school shoes, school supplies and much more. Some of our biggest events are Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Summer Camp where we take 300-400 kids to Maypearl, Texas for a weekend camp at NO COST to the children.
